nZuwa Bungalows

This project was my first full immersion into the complete cycle of project management. I designed these bungalows using the first version of SketchUp, and worked hands-on with our team of carpenters and masons in Pemba, Mozambique, to build every detail. One standout feature — and a team favorite — was the shower wall made from empty beer bottles, sealed behind glass to create a playful, light-catching mosaic. Naturally, someone had to make sure those bottles were empty first. That touch gave the bungalow its name: The Turtle.
